DUNS Connectoids - Win9x - New

To make a new connection, double-click Make New Connection in dial-up Networking:

Type a name for the connection, and select your modem from the drop-down; If there is only one modem in your system, there should only be one choice in the drop-down.
Note the Configure button under the modem device selection. The same Configure option is available when you Edit a connectoid's properties, and info on what's behind this button is here.

Enter the phone number; unless you need to dial an area code, you may leave the area code blank.

You may think you're finished - but, the default settings that Windows applies are almost never correct for establishing a connection to an ISP!
You will need to edit the properties of the connectoid!
